About Holmes & Associates
Holmes & Associates is an Adirondack Park-based research firm specializing in the research & development of community-based programs. We work with clients on all aspects of a project or program, from initial design through conclusions, recommendations, and next steps, and throughout the process we promote collaborative efforts and public-private partnerships.
We apply that same type of systematic and efficient approach in our development of online, interactive websites and databases. Examples include Adirondack Scenic Byways.org an online guide to 60 Byway communities and their over 600 natural, cultural & historic resources; NY EMT Info.com a dynamic regional course directory we developed for EMTs and other healthcare providers; and Adirondack Craft.com an online catalog of over 400 products made by 50 artists and producers in the Adirondack region of northern New York.
Project manager and research director Tim Holmes holds an MA in sociology from the University of Idaho with an emphasis in rural sociology and has worked in the private research sector since 1983. After gaining post-graduate research experience in Idaho, Washington, and Alaska, Holmes settled in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York where he has directed over 60 major research projects for more than 30 clients. Holmes has the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential, a certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) that recognizes demonstrated knowledge and skill in leading and directing project teams and in delivering project results within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources.
