Background and Clients
Holmes & Associates is an Adirondack Park-based research firm with expertise in data collection, data analysis, clear and concise reporting, and in the design and deployment of online database tools. The research director, Timothy P. Holmes, holds an MA in sociology from the University of Idaho with an emphasis in rural sociology. Tim Holmes has worked in the private research sector since 1983 by applying systematic research and analysis to the development of efficient and cost-effective economic and social programs. After gaining post-graduate research experience in Idaho, Washington, and Alaska, Holmes settled in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York where he has directed over 50 major research projects.
We work with clients and potential clients on all aspects of a project or program, from initial brain storming on through conclusions, recommendations, and next steps. Collaborative projects and public/private partnerships are becoming more common and Holmes & Associates has considerable experience in both those areas. We have highly qualified facilitators that have a solid track record in bringing all the ideas out on the table and in helping diverse groups find common ground.
Proposal writing, logic models, questionnaire design, sample selection, stakeholder involvement, and public participation are often necessary steps in program and project development, and we have the experience and expertise to complete them quickly and effectively.
After the information and data are collected, data entry, data analysis, reporting, conclusions, recommendations, and public outreach are all services we provide. We work closely with our clients to ensure that the final products are specifically what is needed to make decisions and to move forward.
We apply the same type of systematic and efficient approach in our development of online, interactive database tools. Examples include an online course directory directory for EMTs and other healthcare providers, a health services resource directory for a five county area, and an online directory of wood products produces in a 14-county area.
